the New Year
I'm usually not a huge fan of quotes. But, we have had this quote on our fridge for a few years now. I got it from my aunt who I believe had cut it out of a magazine.
the New Year
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no
doubt crept in: forget them as soon
as you can. Tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely and with
too high a spirit to be cumbered with
your old nonsense.
This day is all that is good and fair.
It is too dear, with its hopes and in-
vitations, to waste a moment on the
yesterdays.

You have a pretty cool aunt if she cut that out and gave it to you.
Perfect poem for the time of year; it is aptly titled.
Hey Adam! Did I tell you about the blog?!? I didn't know you knew about it. I'm psyched you read it!
Actually, the quote came from Erin's aunt and she passed away. Erin took the quote from some of her aunt's things.
It actually gains an new level of profundity when you consider the source.
